I'm two years with Ubuntu, does just about all I need, very happy with it, rarely fire up Windows. I have just found out how upon computer power on it starts Evolution in the notification tray and checks for email. When there is a new mail it plays "you've got mail" just like aol. I had to put in a delay script to so it starts with no problems. Neat but useful, and productive. So, you see, still discovering. Send us email if want info. Don't give up. The picture on my post was inappropriate for a girl that age, especially a Disney kid, and her parents should have known better. Comment on Ubuntu Linux in a Class by Itself? by Wayne http://knightblogger.com/2008/04/18/ubuntu-linux-class-by-itself/#comment-140 Wayne Sun, 20 Apr 2008 01:25:28 +0000 http://sksteve.wordpress.com/?p=46#comment-140 I think Ubuntu is doing good, but as always, I wish they would push it on the desktop more and work with OEM's to get machines out physically in the store with all multimedia (I know the problems) and hardware working out of the box, and have staff in stores that know how to use and sell them. People need to see it working. I as far as the downloads go, the CD image is already filled to brim so I think they should look into 2 CD's and/or DVD image, it will give them more flexibility. Ubuntu/Linux really needs to pull their finger out before the next version of Windows.
